Compulsive Polish Lover| Broadway Nails imPRESS Press On Manicure Review

()

Whew! It’s been a while since I shared some nail love on here. So I was given the opportunity to test out and review a set of Broadway Nails Impress Press On Manicure product. Let me first give a disclaimer before digging into my review. I do not have children and throughout my day I’m mostly at my laptop, typing up a storm. The only time water or lotion hits my hands is when I shower and wash my hands. Basically, my day is wear/tear-free from hard labor.

Now, onto the information you’re wanting to know about the Broadway Nails Impress Press On Manicure. I haven’t worn press on nails in FOREVER. I can remember trying them when I was a kid for the fun of it. Since I didn’t know any better then, I thought they were cool up until I got deep into my love for nails and color. Thus, acrylic and Youtube came into my life.

When I was first introduced to the Broadway Nails Impress Press On Manicure, I though, “Eh. Okay, I guess. I’ll just do my nails my normal way.” The packaging is quite lovely. Pretty nice idea to have the nails inside a “nail polish bottle”. Here’s the 411 on the Broadway Nails Impress Press On Manicure.

The Broadway Nails imPRESS Press On Manicure set I was sent was 56891 “D060 Over The Moon”. It reminds me of water marble nail art. They come in 36 styles that you can choose from. Upon reading the packaging, it says it is “Revolutionary Nail Technology” that gives salon results in minutes. It also shares that it is instant with no drying time, has lasting shine, lasts up to a week, and is easy to remove. When you open the Broadway Nails Impress Press On Manicure package, you will see that the polish bottle comes with 24 nails in 12 different sizes. It includes an alcohol wipe as well for application prepping.

imPRESS Press On Manicure Review

The Broadway Nails imPRESS Press On Manicure nails are way too short for me. Bummer! For the sake of this review, I wanted my make sure I did my best to test it out thoroughly  If you have long nails like mines, you will need to file your natural nails down a bit, especially if you plan to wear all 10 press-ons. I had no intentions on rocking them on all of my nails so I took a polish color that closely matched the press-on color and painted my nails. I then only applied a press on to my pinky, middle, and thumb fingers. So I got a little creative.

The application process is fairly easy. You select the sizes right for you, lay them out, peel off plastic behind nail to apply, and be sure to apply from pinky to thumb.

I work pretty hard to grow my nails to a length I’m happy with so filing them all down to little buds was out of the question for me. If you have short nails, these should work perfectly for you. I personally wasn’t too happy with how the nails sat on top of my nail bed. They looked bulky. I believe the glue that is attached to the nail creates some space that makes it look that way or maybe it’s just the length of my nails. Anywho, I don’t like that at all. It would be nice if they made the nails longer so that it could allow those with longer nails to cut down, file, and shape them to perfection to fit perfectly.

It took me maybe a total of 10 minutes to paint my nails and apply the press-ons. Broadway Nails imPRESS Press On Manicure looks nice when pictured and viewed from certain angles. Another thing, the top edges of he nails of most of them were not smooth so you’ll have to file and smooth the edges on your own. I think adding a little nail file to the packaging would be nice. I applied them around 11:30PM and thought I’d see how they stayed on overnight into the new day.

Results

Okay, 12 hours later after waking up and getting things in order, I found that the nails did stay on. To my surprise, because I tend to scratch my scalp a little bit as well as maybe an arm or leg every now and then. Broadway Nails imPRESS Press On Manicure held it down on my nails nicely. They only lasted less than 24 hours before they started to pop off.

The removal process was simple. I didn’t want to just pop them off so I simply soaked my nails in acetone for a bit and slowly peeled them off. Since I didn’t have them on for a full week, I noticed no damage to my natural nail bed. My nails were still very much strong and maintained. If you have a super weak nail bed and wear the Broadway Nails imPRESS Press On Manicure for up to a week, you may experience “paper nails” when you remove. That glue is sort of thick and tacky. Be careful.

My imPRESS Press On Manicure

I would recommend the Broadway Nails imPRESS Press On Manicure nails to those who have short nails, acrylic haters, and for anyone seeking an instant manicure to last for one night. I wouldn’t advise these if your hands stay active in sports, hard labor, or hand killing activity. Other than that, it was fun seeing how this looked on me.
